Unfortunately our request to hold Hagfest this year was turned down due to the re-seeding of the field after the sewage works. But we look forward to bringing it back for 2019 in the first week of July! So watch this space.

Happy Half Term everyone!  As we all know it can be quite a challenge to plan and fill our monkeys’ holiday days to prevent boredom.  Why not stock up on crafty essentials beforehand and watch as your child engages their imagination and builds their own individual unique creation whilst occupying their time and giving you a few minutes of much needed peace?  Miranda's Monkeys have put together an ideal holiday project – a perfect go to for a weather hampered afternoon. We hope you all have a fabulous holiday full of  crafty fun!

You will need:

• Shoe box

• Tissue paper

• White paper

• PVA glue (mix with a little water)

• Foam card

• Decorative bits (buttons/foam flowers/foam letters)

1. If like me your shoe box is darker than your chosen tissue paper colour, begin by covering your box in white paper using your PVA solution.

2. Tear your tissue paper into small pieces (a great job to give to a toddler sibling if you have one) and attach to the box using the PVA solution.

3. When dry add your decoration – I drew my initial on a sheet of foam card, cut out and glue on to the lid, adding some decorative flowers and foam letters to personalise.

4. Now time to stock your treasure box with your favourite things, secret documents or crafty essentials.
